I got a parcel from Metro Hobbies today with some supplies.
I’ve cleared the dump bin diorama as the muse has temporarily left me on that one. I’m thinking that maybe the Meng He 177 will be next for a bit of fun.

I’m still yet to do any airbrushing but have started in on a diorama. It’s based on a dump bin I have in 1.35 but it needs lots of things cut out from resin parts and etched brass.
This is ongoing as well as wrestling ( speaking of which I went to some here in Sydney for the first time recently with my son, its not really my thing but they are certainly strong, athletic and gymnastic in what they do)

bin back into being square. It’s one piece but the resin is relatively thin and has warped. I look like being in hot water again to further fix this.

The minenraumer is now ready for painting also. I now have 7 kits ready to get painted so I need to pull my finger out and start practicing with my airbrush.
Below is all the sprue tabs from the two mine clearing tanks in the Takom kit.
I seemed to spend a lot of time doing clean up but they do go together very nicely.

And a nice April Fools day post along with a kit I will buy from Amusing Hobby despite being 1.48

Not permanently but just the next two weeks. I’m on holidays for a while and given that the weather should be less moist I’m going to start on the backlog of 5 kits that need airbrushing.

There’s a bit more done now. The 2 main wheels , bottom left are on their second stage of PSR with possibly a small amount needed for a third stage going back the second wheel although I hope to get most of it just by sanding after I’ve put another coat of Citadel Boltgun metal paint on. I’ve also done the turret bottom right which will need a little filler and have done the main body assembly also which again needs a little filler.

I’ve finished the Krupp Raumer up until the painting stage. No major dramas involved and would recommend it as a quickish simple build

I’ve also started the Minenraumer but not as happy with this one. The pads are split in two and you join them from either side so effectively the wheel is trapped in the middle allowing the pad to move. As there are 30 pads this is a lot of PSR to do. So far I have Milliputed the 20 big pads and am working on guitar remaining small pads on the tricycle front wheel. On the plus side it guarantees that the three bottom pads will be on the ground which the 1.35 version did not and required some work to achieve.

I’ve finished constructing the Takom 1.35 one recently so doing the 1.72 version next seems logical. There are a lot of pour stubs to cut and trim up so as I haven’t been feeling well I have concentrated on doing those without bothering with any gluing. The smaller size means tolerances are much tighter so a bit of sanding and test fitting is necessary.

This was the recent parcel I got from BNA. The Krupp Raumer is calling loud to me.
The rest are destined for various dioramas.
